Press Release TCI Reactors and dV/dT Filters are RoHS compliant KDR Optimized Drive Reactors, KLR Line Reactors, DIN Rail Drive Reactors, and V1000 dV/dT Filters are in full compliance with the RoHS directive established by the European Union. The RoHS directive aims to protect human health and the environment by restricting certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products. Effective July 1, 2006, RoHS identified substances have been banned from electrical and electronic products sold in Europe. These substances include lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent, chromium, and brominated flame-retardants – PBB & PBDE. KDR Optimized Drive Reactors, KLR Series SineGuard Three Phase Reactors, and DIN Rail Drive Reactors are designed to protect PWM drives and improve overall system performance. These high quality products can reduce or eliminate nuisance tripping, reduce harmonic distortion, and improve true power factor. The V1000 greatly reduces motor failures on VFD applications by limiting the magnitude of voltage spikes to levels below 1000 volts and slows down the rate of change of PWM switching by a factor of three. The V1000 has demonstrated success in protecting the cable and motor insulation by reducing the damaging effects of reflected wave. The next installment of the KLC-Series Filter provides excellent protection in a user-friendly package. This compact design has been developed with space sensitive applications in mind.
