Trans-Coil, Inc. Achieves 9001:2000 ISO Certification

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, August 10, 2004

Trans-Coil, Inc. (TCI) recently achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification, recognizing that the company’s quality management system meets criteria developed by the International Organization for Standardization of Geneva, Switzerland.

Founded in 1971, TCI is the leading provider of peripheral products for AC and DC drives.  Our products are designed, built, and tested by people that understand drives and the special needs of this marketplace.

Certification was granted after a rigorous audit by an accredited independent registrar. The audit was the culmination of an intensive year-long project at TCI to develop and implement a quality system based on ISO standards. All members of the TCI staff incorporated activities into their daily routines to aid in problem prevention, detection, and elimination. Employees received specialized training to increase quality awareness and establish a consistent direction for quality through improved communication, control of quality costs, and standardization of processes.

The ISO 9001 standard is understood internationally to represent a company’s commitment to quality. To achieve certification, companies must have a quality management system that builds quality into every aspect of the business. Individual companies determine how to implement the standard to meet their specific needs and the needs of their customers. Certification is open to companies that demonstrate their compliance by passing a thorough audit by an independent registrar.

TCI is proud to have earned the Quality Endorsed Company ISO 9001:2000 certification mark.

TCI will be the supplier of choice for products and services that increase the value and improve the performance of electronic power conversion systems.
