Raise Software Now Includes TCI Products

Select and Add TCI Products Using Proposal Builder or RFQ Builder Programs

As an Encompass Partner with Rockwell Automation, TCI was invited to participate in their popular RAISE software package. Standard TCI products can now be configured and added to proposals and requests in the same software that Rockwell Automation products are configured.

In order to access the TCI product offering, either Proposal Builder or RFQ Builder must be installed on your computer. The TCI products can be added in a number of ways. The information will be available when the RAISE program is originally installed, or can be included later as a separate add-on. An install program is available specifically for the TCI portion of the program. It should be noted, however, that a separate install program is not necessary. RAISE has an automatic update feature over the internet called “Current”. If you have an internet connection, “Current” will automatically download the new library structure. The supplemental files and configuration tools will then be accessed on-demand.

TCI products can be accessed in a number of ways. In the equipment list, there is an option to manually add a part by typing in the complete part number. This option required that the entire part number is known and properly entered. In the product library, once opened, there are three ways to access products. The configuration portion for each of the listed product lines can be found in a new folder named “Encompass Partner Library”, where the “Trans-Coil, Inc.” folder can be found. The library also has two search options, which aids in finding the right product or products. The use of keywords such as “drives”, “TCI”, or “reactor” will thin down the library to show only the folders that contain the relevant products. Entry of catalog numbers will also shorten the library selection. As the part number is entered, the library begins to slim down, so it is not necessary to know the entire part number.

Product selection is accomplished in the same way that Rockwell Automation products are chosen. For example, when selecting a reactor, the configuration tool requests all the necessary information. As each required portion is completed, the question marks are replaced with the proper part number. Once the part number is completed, it can then be entered into the equipment list. Once there, informational supplements such as drawings and specifications are available to be inserted into the proposal.

This exciting new addition to the RAISE software is available immediately. TCI is the first Encompass Partner to include products on Rockwell Automation's popular RAISE software. This is one more step in TCI's continuing efforts to improve the product and the supporting materials.
